Waste management in the state of Idaho is governed by the Waste Management and Remediation Division of the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. With the EPA’s approval, Idaho has been authorized to carry out the hazardous waste management provisions of the RCRA, enforce those laws, and create its own laws regarding waste management. These state-specific laws comply with those at the federal level, but they may be more stringent in some cases.
Due to the industries in Idaho, the state has some waste management needs that are emphasized more than others. These may include:
HAZWOPER 8hr refresher, 24hr, and 40hr training courses:
Idaho’s manufacturing industry contributes to more than 14% of the state’s private sector’s GDP. Those working in the advanced manufacturing industries know that there are safety concerns present on a different level than in many other industries. Clean Management offers OSHA-compliant refresher courses to ensure workers are well protected.
Labpack and radioactive waste disposal:
The Idaho National Laboratory is the country’s lead nuclear research facility, and Idaho has plenty of other research labs throughout the state. Clean Management can dispose of lab and radioactive waste.
