Is your drum DOT shippable?

All drums containing hazardous or Non Hazardous  waste must comply with DOT, EPA and local regulations when being transported or stored. Here are a few guidelines:

• Sealed
• Clean
• Undamaged
• Properly Labeled

 

• Sealed

Drums must have secured lids with rings and bolts tightened, with a full gasket and proper sized bungs to prevent them from leaking.

• Clean

Any excess waste on the outside of the drum must be removed.

• Undamaged

Any drum that has dents, creases, dings or holes that compromises the integrity of the drum must be overpacked.

• Properly labeled

Each drum must be labeled with the proper markings and labels in accordance with EPA, DOT and local regulations.
